Approach God with confidence, knowing he will act in his perfect way!
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask according to his will, he hears us.” I John 5: 14 (NIV)
DAY 1 – Pray for our “Summer Wednesdays” - for the volunteer crew, for good connections with our community, and that people would meet Jesus.
DAY 2 – Ask for God’s blessing on first responders in our city, for protection and wisdom as they face difficult situations.
DAY 3 – Pray for the children in Kidsville, that they will experience a personal relationship with Jesus, and that the love of Jesus will be evident in the leaders.
DAY 4 – Thank God for the many volunteers who keep our church running. Ask God to bless them as they serve.
DAY 5 – Ask God for discernment and the Spirit’s leading for the Elders as they lead us forward.
DAY 6 – Pray for strength and wisdom for Adams Townsend, Director of Camp Wildwood, during this camping season.
DAY 7 – Praise God for our Lewisville youth who are serving at Camp Wildwood this summer. Pray their love for Jesus will grow and will be evident to the campers.
DAY 8 – Pray God’s blessing on Matt and his family as he moves into his new role with the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada.
DAY 9 – Ask God to strengthen and grow the commitment to and practice of prayer in each of us and our church.
DAY 10 – Thank God for the valuable ministry of the Visitation Team as they connect with and encourage people.
DAY 11 – Pray for God’s choice of a new Lead Pastor for our church. We don’t know who it is, but God does!
DAY 12 – Ask for God’s protection on marriages and families this summer, and for safety as they vacation.
DAY 13 – Rejoice in our new partnership, through Canadian Baptist Ministries, with the church in Guatemala. Ask for God’s blessing and provision.
DAY 14 – Pray for children attending a Christian camp this summer, that they will be safe, have fun, and meet Jesus.
DAY 15 – Thank God for the dedication of Elaine, Ruth, and Mark in their roles at Lewisville. Ask God to bless them as they serve.
DAY 16 – Ask for Godly discernment and strength for Pastor Jeff, and for protection on his family.
DAY 17 – Pray for those struggling with addictions, for help and release from their grip.
DAY 18 – Pray for effectiveness and blessing for Children’s Pastor, Lauren, as she coordinates the Kidsville ministry and balances family life. Pray for Josh in his role with CBM, as Young Adult Discipleship Coordinator.
DAY 19 – Ask God for opportunities to talk about Jesus, so there will be a growing number of people trusting Him as Saviour.
DAY 20 – Pray for the Intentional Interim Pastor coming to Lewisville in the fall, that God will lead the Elders to the right person for us.
DAY 21 – Pray for those new to Lewisville, that they will find belonging and the love of Jesus. Ask God to use the Connections Team, as they often make the first contact.
DAY 22 – Pray for provision, safety, and hope for the unhoused population in our city.
DAY 23 – Pray that the Holy Spirit will be at work in our Summer Wednesday services.
DAY 24 – Ask for God’s strength and blessing on our Youth Director, Stephanie, as she leads the summer youth program.
DAY 25 – Ask God for healing, peace, and hope for someone you know with serious health concerns.
DAY 26 – Thank God for our Prayer Team as they take requests to our Lord and see answers.
DAY 27 – Ask for God’s wisdom for Canada’s elected representatives, at all levels, as they govern.
DAY 28 – Ask God to bring the Ebola disease outbreak in the world under control, and to protect those on the front lines.
DAY 29 – Rejoice in Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross for us.
DAY 30 – Bring to God a ministry need of which you are aware.
Day 31 – Lift up a friend to the Lord in prayer today.
