Shaped Prayer Calendar
You are invited to use this prayer guide as our church seeks to deepen our commitment to prayer and our reliance on God.
Through the SHAPED teaching series on prayer, we learned to
Pause
Rejoice
Ask
Yield
as we approach God and spend time with Him.
The daily prayer items in this guide focus on rejoicing and asking, as we bring people and ministries before our Lord.
DAY 1 – Give thanks for the many volunteers who keep our church running. Ask God to bless them as they serve.
DAY 2 – Ask for God’s blessing on those serving in the educational and health care systems, that God will grant them effectiveness and perseverance..
DAY 3 – Pray for the children in Kidsville, that they would experience a personal relationship with Jesus. Ask for the love of Jesus to be evident in the leaders.
DAY 4 – Thank God for Renée MacVicar, CBAC Executive Minister, and ask for God’s blessing and anointing as she leads our Baptist family.
DAY 5 – Ask God for discernment and the Spirit’s leading for the Elders and Leadership Team.
DAY 6 – Pray that those in service industries and the marketplace will be effective witnesses for Christ.
DAY 7 – Praise God for the youth who are intent on going deeper in their walk with Jesus.
DAY 8 – Ask God for protection, wisdom, and spiritual strength for Pastor Matt and his family.
DAY 9 – Ask God to strengthen and grow the commitment to and practice of prayer in our church.
DAY 10 – Thank God for the valuable ministry of the Visitation Team as they connect with and encourage people.
DAY 11 – Ask God for good connections with those accessing the Food Pantry and for our faithfulness in keeping it stocked.
DAY 12 – Ask for God’s protection on marriages and families, and that parents will be equipped to raise Godly children.
DAY 13 – Rejoice in our new partnership with the church in Guatemala. Ask God for wisdom and provision as the first mission trip is planned.
DAY 14 – Ask God for wisdom and effectiveness for those serving in community-based ministries such as Teen Challenge, the Pregnancy & Wellness Centre, etc.
DAY 15 – Thank God for the dedication of our Lewisville support staff – Elaine, Ruth, Mark – and ask the Lord to encourage and bless them in their roles.
DAY 16 – Ask for Godly discernment and creativity for Pastor Jeff, and for protection on his family.
DAY 17 – Give thanks for the church plant in Dieppe by our sister church, Sunny Brae. Pray for effectiveness for Pastor Oliver Locke and his family as they give leadership.
DAY 18 – Pray for effectiveness and blessing for Children’s Pastor, Lauren, as she coordinates the Kidsville ministry and balances family life. Pray for Josh in his role with CBM, as Young Adult Discipleship Coordinator.
DAY 19 – Ask God for opportunities to talk about Jesus, so there will be a growing number of people trusting Him as Saviour.
DAY 20 – Thank God for the tremendous ministry of Camp Wildwood. Ask Him to guide Adams (Director) and to equip the summer staff to serve well, showing Jesus’ love to the campers.
DAY 21 – Pray for those new to Lewisville, that they will find belonging and Jesus. Ask God to use the Connections Team, as they often make the first contact.
DAY 22 – Ask God to bring lasting peace to the war-torn regions of our world.
DAY 23 –Rejoice that we have a gifted Worship Team who leads us to God every Sunday. Ask that the Holy Spirit will be at work in our services.
DAY 24 – Ask for God’s strength and blessing on Interim Youth Director, Stephanie, as she leads the youth program and continues her education.
DAY 25 – Ask God for healing, peace, and hope for those living with serious health conditions.
DAY 26 – Thank God for our co-treasurers, Kaitlyn and Corey, as they oversee the finances of our church. Ask God to make us generous and wise stewards.
DAY 27 – Ask for God’s wisdom for Canada’s elected representatives, at all levels, as they govern.
DAY 28 – Pray for provision, safety, and hope for the unhoused population in our city.
DAY 29 – Rejoice in the growing collaboration and unity among the Moncton area churches.
DAY 30 – Bring to the Lord a ministry need of which you are aware.
Day 31 – Rejoice in God’s faithfulness.
